Community Alcohol Partnership Residents invited to help shape support for young people in Withernsea
Residents in Withernsea are being invited to share their views as part of a new survey that will help inform plans for a Community Alcohol Partnership (CAP) in the area. The survey is designed to give local people the opportunity to have their say about their community and to highlight any concerns relating to underage drinking, anti-social behaviour and alcohol-related issues. Just as importantly, it will help local partners understand what support and positive opportunities young people need. Community Alcohol Partnerships bring together organisations including schools, retailers, police, local authorities, youth services and community groups to tackle underage drinking and improve outcomes for young people. The feedback gathered from the survey will help shape future activities and ensure that the partnership reflects the needs and priorities of local residents.
Kate Winstanley, Director of CAP commented: "Community Alcohol Partnerships are all about bringing communities together to support young people and create safer, healthier places for everyone. We want to hear from as many residents as possible so that we can better understand local concerns and identify opportunities to provide positive activities and support for young people."
Residents are invited to complete the short survey and have their say. Responses will help local partners develop a Community Alcohol Partnership that is tailored to the needs of Withernsea and its community.
